Industrial oxygen for cutting, welding and fabrication
Oxygen gas is the workhorse of every fabrication shop. On its own it doesn't burn, but it makes fuel gases burn far hotter and faster. Paired with DA gas (acetylene), it produces the flame used for gas cutting, gas welding and brazing across Kurnool's workshops and construction sites.
Parameswara Traders has supplied oxygen gas cylinders in Kurnool since 1992. You can refill your own cylinder, exchange an empty for a full one, or take a cylinder on deposit if you're setting up a new workshop.
Common uses of oxygen gas
- Gas cutting of mild steel plates, channels, pipes and scrap with an oxy-acetylene cutting torch.
- Gas welding and brazing of steel, copper and brass, including refrigeration and AC copper piping.
- Heating and bending of metal parts in repair shops, agricultural equipment works and auto-body workshops.
- Small-flame work such as jewellery making and glass work.
What we offer
- Oxygen cylinder refilling and quick exchange at our Bellary Road shop
- Cylinders on deposit or rent for new customers
- Delivery to workshops and sites in Kurnool and nearby towns
- DA gas, KOR regulators and welding electrodes from the same counter
Oxygen cylinder safety
- Keep oil and grease away. Oil or grease on an oxygen valve, regulator or hose can catch fire. Never lubricate oxygen fittings, and don't handle them with oily hands or gloves.
- Use a regulator made for oxygen, and fit flashback arrestors on your cutting set.
- Keep cylinders upright and chained or secured so they cannot fall.
- Close the cylinder valve when you stop work, even for a short break.
- Never use oxygen to blow dust off clothes or as a substitute for compressed air. Oxygen-soaked clothing catches fire very easily.
- Store oxygen cylinders away from DA and other fuel-gas cylinders when not in use.
Questions about oxygen gas
Can industrial oxygen be used for a patient?
No. Patients must use medical oxygen, which is produced, filled and handled as a medicine. We supply medical oxygen cylinders separately for hospitals and home use.
Do you supply oxygen and DA gas together for gas cutting?
Yes. Most gas cutting and welding sets need both oxygen and DA gas. We supply both, along with suitable regulators.
How long will an oxygen cylinder last for gas cutting?
It depends on the cylinder size, the nozzle, the thickness of the steel and how many hours you cut each day. Tell us about your work and we'll suggest the right cylinder size and how often you'll need a refill.
Can I get an oxygen cylinder without owning one?
Yes. We provide oxygen cylinders on deposit or rent, and you pay for the gas at each refill.
